11 Uplifting Prayers for Women’s Ministry

Women in Ministry provide a huge amount of support to families and creating a sense of community among women for emotional and spiritual support. A lot of needs are met in this ministry and require ongoing prayers. These uplifting prayers for Women’s Ministry serve as just some example to the types of prayers you can recite and share to encourage your local ministry.

Prayer #1

Father, we pray for the small groups, casual conversations, and discussions during the retreat. We pray that they would be uplifting, encouraging, and transparent. Divinely coordinate the groups and uniquely match women based on their needs. We pray that no one would dominate conversations, but that all of us would listen to each other with open ears. Most of all, we pray that these connections would plant the seeds for deeper friendships that extend way beyond the retreat and into the fabric of everyday life. Create a community between us, Lord, and teach us to love each other. Amen.

Prayer #2

As we lift up these women in prayer, let us ask the Lord to give them wisdom for their many responsibilities. Please pray the Lord will fill their hearts with joy in serving Him and give them strength to not grow weary.

Prayer #3

Father, we pray for any women who are newcomers at our retreat. We pray that you would draw them into conversation easily and that they would feel comfortable and welcome. Whatever place they’re at in life, we pray that the messages, Scriptures, and activities during the retreat would speak personally to their circumstances. Give them courage to open up when sharing will bring healing and friendship, and wisdom to listen when you want to speak to their hearts. Thank you for expanding our ministry to these newcomers, and create new bonds that last beyond this special event. Amen.

Prayer #4

Let us pray the Lord will establish the works of these faithful sisters’ hands. Pray their support raising will be blessed; and as they minister to and pray for women in their community, pray their ministry would be effective.

Prayer #5

Let us pray for these sisters’ families to be blessed and challenged in their personal relationships with Jesus. Ask the Lord to answer our sisters’ prayers for their families. Pray families will grow strong within the church.

Prayer #6

Lord Jesus, it is a privilege and pleasure to gather together as sisters in Christ to study your Word. Bless our time together and strengthen our faith with your Word. Deepen our understanding of your truths and grant us wisdom as we learn to apply all that we have studied. When we see the truth of the law in your Word, pierce our hearts to see our sin, and then quickly comfort us with the blessing of your gospel. When we feel discouraged because we cannot keep all your commands, remind us that Christ has indeed lived a perfect life on our behalf. Help us focus on your amazing gifts of grace, forgiveness and righteousness. May our time together leave us with joyful hearts, renewed faith, confidence in the gospel and motivation to live for your glory. In the name of Jesus our Savior we pray. Amen.

Prayer #7

Father, we ask for your divine presence before, during, and after our retreat. Please prepare our hearts and the hearts of our guests for your ministry. We ask for healing, worship, and salvation. Supernaturally remove obstacles and distractions that may prevent women from receiving from you. Open up our thoughts to the life-changing truths of your Word, and give us a new understanding of your character and your love for us. Touch each woman profoundly so that their lives are forever changed by your touch. Thank you for loving us and for reaching out to us. We worship you. Amen.

Prayer #8

We come together to give you honour and praise. We ask that you would help us to draw close to you. Please come and speak your words of wisdom into our lives. Help us to embrace one another, our similarities, our differences, our concerns and our joys. We long for your touch on our lives, that we might be your hands and feet to the world. Inspire our hearts, heal our wounds, bring your peace into our worries and your hope into our disappointments. Come Lord and weave your love into our fellowship together, that we may overflow with grace and allow your truth to light up our lives anew. Amen.

Prayer #9

Heavenly Father, as we gather together to study your Word, we pray that you would send your Holy Spirit to be with us. Clear our minds from the distractions and concerns of the day and open our hearts to receive the truth of your Word. Guide our study and discussions that we may grow closer to you and honor you in all we do and say. Strengthen our faith according to the promises in your Word and bind our hearts to one another in fellowship and love. May the words of our mouths and the meditation of our hearts be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, our Rock and Redeemer. Amen.

Prayer #10

Father, we pray for women who may be secretly hurting at our retreat. You know their hearts, and every minute detail of what they’re going through. Though they may not share openly about their struggles, you will meet them right where they’re at. We pray for opportunities for them to let down their guard, share their story, and receive prayer. We know how hard it is to let people into our lives when we’re hurting, so we pray for extra sensitivity and discernment toward these women and wisdom to ask the right questions and pray from your heart. Amen.

Prayer #11

Heavenly Father, I thank You that I am fearfully and wonderfully made and that You knew me even before my mother conceived me. Thank You that You know all about me and that there is nothing hidden within, about which You do not know…
Thank You for loving me so much that You died for me on the cross and thank You that You rose from the dead and broke the power of sin and death in my life. Oh Lord You gave me life when I was physically born into this world and then You gave me spiritual life when I was born-again into Your family – by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. I want to thank You with all my heart for being my Saviour and forgiving my sins – for redeeming my life from destruction and lifting me up out of the miry clay and setting my feet on the Rock of my Salvation, Lord I desire to dedicate all I am to You – to live my life in humble submission – looking to Jesus, trusting Your word and obeying Your commands.
Lord I want to live by faith and not by sight – I want to walk in spirit and truth to Your praise and glory and not to simply satisfy my own personal wants and wishes. Give me grace to live a life that is well-pleasing to You and may I become a living sacrifice – holy and acceptable unto You – Search my heart I pray for any areas that are not pleasing to You and help me… in the power of Your Spirit to be holy for You are holy, in Jesus name I pray,
Amen

11 KINDS OF PREACHERS

11 Kinds of Preacher: Which One Are You? By Peter Mead - May 24, 2016 Share on Facebook Share on Pinterest The fourth world. That’s what Haddon Robinson called it. He took John Stott’s two worlds of preaching—the world of the Bible and the world of the contemporary listener’s culture, and he added two more. First, the specific culture of the local congregation (which may differ sharply from the contemporary culture in general). Then, the fourth world—the inner world of the preacher. We have to understand all four worlds to preach effectively. I’d like to probe that fourth world in respect to personality types. Now I know these are controversial. There are those in favor and those against. There are advocates for this taxonomy and those pushing for another. Some oppose them altogether. Some people refuse to be labeled (perhaps a personality thing); others love it (ditto). I’ll let you chase the type tests and theoretical discussions else
