9 Uplifting Prayers of Blessing for Others

Being a blessing to others is a blessing to ourselves. These uplifting prayers of blessings for others serve as the perfect example to the types of prayers you can recite with God to life them up to the Lord and strengthen their walk with Christ.

Prayer #1

Dear God,
Thank you for your great love and blessing over our lives. Thank you that your favor has no end, but it lasts for our entire lifetime. Forgive us for sometimes forgetting that you are intimately acquainted with all of our ways, that you know what concerns us, and you cover us as with a shield. We ask that we would walk in your blessing and goodness today. That your face would shine on us. That you would open the right doors for our lives and for our loved ones, that you would close the wrong doors and protect us from those we need to walk away from. Establish the work of our hands and bring to fulfillment all that you have given us to do in these days. We pray that you would make our way purposeful and our footsteps firm out of your goodness and love. Give us a heart of wisdom to hear your voice, and make us strong by your huge favor and grace.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.

Prayer #2

Father, I know that I am a special person, recreated in Christ Jesus, that I will do the great things that You have prepared for me. I pray that as continue in my walk with You, I will also be a blessing to those I meet today.
Let the light and love of Jesus shine so brightly within me that on the outside it will illuminate for all to see. I want to be that person, Lord, who others can look at and just know that Christ lives in me.

Prayer #3

Almighty God, may I continue to hear the Holy Spirit as He guides and counsels me. In all situations, help me to be obedient!
I also pray that I will be bold enough to give a word of encouragement or even just a smile to the strangers who cross my path. May I truly be a blessing to those I encounter along my life’s journey. Master of the Universe, my Protector, my God, in whom I confidently trust, hear my prayer. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

Prayer #4

I pray that from His glorious, unlimited resources He will empower you with inner strength through His Spirit. Then Christ will make His home in your hearts as you trust in Him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high and how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.

Prayer #5

Dear Lord Jesus – every good and perfect gift is a blessing from You and You have blessed me with so much and I ask that You would use me to be a blessing to others who are in need or facing difficulties.
Make me a channel of Your blessing – a channel through who You love and peace and joy and love flow out from You through me to others. May I be Your hands to bless others – may You guide my feet to places where I can go and be a blessing… May my speech be seasoned with salt so that I may speak words of comfort and encouragement – and speak the truth in love, and give me the grace to be available when others are in need.
Lord that You may increase in my life and I may decrease – so that the blessings that You pour through me to others may draw each one closer into the arms of the Lord Jesus, in Whose name I pray, Amen.

Prayer #6

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus… Father how can we thank You enough for the amazing grace and unconditional love that has been showered down on all Your children without measure and without cost.
We bless and thank You for choosing us before the foundation of the world to become Your children and joint-heirs with Christ Jesus our Lord – and have set us apart to be holy and blameless before You all the days of our lives. You have even adopted us as Your sons and daughters and seated us together with Christ in heavenly places – Your goodness in unfathomable and Your loving-kindness rejoices our hearts and humbles our spirit.
We are not worthy to stoop down and tie Your shoe latchet and yet You have lifted us up and seated us together with Christ in heavenly places. We worship and adore You and we bless Your holy name for ever and ever and ever, Amen.

Prayer #9

Dear Lord You have told us that the man that does not walk in the ways of the world and refuses to be influenced by the trinkets that this world offers and puts their trust in You is blessed indeed.
Bless me Lord, I pray with love in times of hatred; goodness in times of hostility; peace in times of strife; hope in the midst of despair – faith in the times of testings and joy in the times of pain – for my hope is in You alone.
You also told us that the one who delights in You and meditates on Your word is like a fruitful tree that is planted by the rivers of water.
Bless me Lord, I pray, with those blessings that only come from You. Amen.

11 KINDS OF PREACHERS

11 Kinds of Preacher: Which One Are You? By Peter Mead - May 24, 2016 Share on Facebook Share on Pinterest The fourth world. That’s what Haddon Robinson called it. He took John Stott’s two worlds of preaching—the world of the Bible and the world of the contemporary listener’s culture, and he added two more. First, the specific culture of the local congregation (which may differ sharply from the contemporary culture in general). Then, the fourth world—the inner world of the preacher. We have to understand all four worlds to preach effectively. I’d like to probe that fourth world in respect to personality types. Now I know these are controversial. There are those in favor and those against. There are advocates for this taxonomy and those pushing for another. Some oppose them altogether. Some people refuse to be labeled (perhaps a personality thing); others love it (ditto). I’ll let you chase the type tests and theoretical discussions else
